A Computer Science Education student of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Mr. Abdurrazzaq Abdurrauf Kehinde, has won a remarkable N4 million grant at the ONDEA My Idea 3.0 Business Competition.

Kehinde, who studies at the Akure Study Centre in Ondo State, emerged as the winner during the competition held at the 2026 Ondo State Entrepreneurship Summit at The Dome, International Culture and Event Centre, Akure.

He is an incubatee of the NOUN Entrepreneurship Education (NEE 2026_1) programme, an intensive enterprise development initiative of the university that ran from March to July 2026.

The NEE is a flagship programme of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and General Studies, designed to equip students with practical skills to become job creators rather than job seekers.

The N4 million prize package includes extensive business support and an all-expenses-paid international business trip.

Reacting to this achievement, the Director of the Directorate of Entrepreneurship and General Studies, Dr. Samuel Awolumate, stated that Kehinde’s success is proof that NOUN is not only leading in Open and Distance Learning but also in innovative and practical education that prepares students for the global economy.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Uduma Oji Uduma, has also congratulated Kehinde for making the university proud.
